Here are some overdue pics…
Thank you so much for coming with your team to the provincial Envirothon last week. I know this took time away from family and other commitments and I appreciate it. I hope you and your teams enjoyed yourselves last week. Here is a link to the final rankings from the event:
I hope to be able to put that Envirothon video from the closing ceremonies up on our You tube channel and will let you know when that is available.
All the best,

Could you name that fish today at lunch? Maybe you want to try fur bearing mamals tomorrow? In an effort to let people know more about Envirothon and recruit some new members we are holding a draw for a $30 Itunes giftcard. All you have to do is show your knowledge at lunch in student square. We will have an information meeting Wednesday at lunch, looking for new members.
Let’s get together on Tuesday January 31st at lunch in room 107 to discuss how we are going to get more people the following week…
Here are some pics from last year’s regional competition that I just found…. not sure why I didn’t do anything with them
Thanks to those who picked up their forms today.
Remember this Friday – meet in the back parkinglot at 8:15am.
If the weather is horrible, bad and not co-operating than I will tell you to go to class and the day will not be re-scheduled. However, as of right now it looks like showers so hopefully it will not be too bad, dress for the weather….
Hope this isn’t a pattern…
However, here are some resources that I want to use at a future meeting. If weather is nice next week, we’ll go for a walk…
What a great way to start off National Forest Week.
Today 4 Envirothon students went to Kenora. The morning was spent hiking through the Vernon Nature Area, identifying trees and wildlife. I was glad to see the Bur Oak still had their leaves. In the afternoon we stopped by the Trus Joist Mill for a talk about how they handle stormwater in an effort to reduce non point source pollution. Overall it was a great day… I’m sure that there will be more pictures from the students added to our facebook page.
